['bʌnʃɑːft], Gordon, amerikanischer Architekt, * Buffalo (New York) 9. 5. 1909, ✝ New York 6. 8. 1990; arbeitete seit 1937 im Architekturbüro Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, dessen Partner er ab 1946 war. Von Bunshaft stammt u. a. der Entwurf für das Lever House in New York (1951-52), das eine neue Epoche im Bau von Bürohochhäusern einleitete. 1988 erhielt er den Pritzker-Preis.
